Triton preserves — natural fish delicacies in oil and marinade
The TM «Triton» catalog features dozens of types of natural preserves of our own production: classic herring preserves, tender fillet in spicy marinade, mussels and seafood in oil, fish assortments and signature recipes. Produced since 1993 in Kamianske, without artificial preservatives or dyes. Delivery by Nova Poshta — to any city in Ukraine.
Preserves are a special category of fish delicacies that preserve maximum natural flavor, tender texture and beneficial Omega-3 fatty acids. Unlike canned fish, preserves do not undergo heat treatment — fish or seafood is poured with oil, marinade or sauce and held in the cold. That is why Triton preserves are chosen for the holiday table, canapes, fish platters and everyday snacks.
Which preserves you will find in the Triton catalog
The preserves range is divided into four main groups. Each contains items of different packaging sizes (90 g, 150 g, 250 g, 500 g) for ordering convenience.
Herring preserves
The largest and most popular subcategory. It includes classic herring preserves in oil, with onion, in wine marinade, with mustard and with spices. A separate item is matjes herring: young herring with a gentle cure that has a more delicate flavor, perfect for canapes.
Herring fillet in dressings
Marinated herring fillet — a product without bones and skin, ready to serve. Our catalog includes fillet in sunflower oil, with dill, in spicy marinade, in wine sauce and with spices. Convenient packaging in plastic containers or glass jars.
Mussels, squid and seafood in oil
A delicacy subcategory: mussels in oil of large size, squid, octopus, shrimp and seafood cocktail. This is a ready-made snack for wine or beer, or an ingredient for salads and pastas.
Fish assortments and signature recipes
Fish assortments are a mix of several fish types in one package: herring with salmon, mackerel with sardine, an assortment of three kinds of preserves. Convenient when you want to try several flavors at once or assemble a fish platter for arriving guests.
How we make Triton preserves
The technology of our preserves has been preserved from the Soviet school of technologists and refined over 30+ years of production.
- Raw materials. We buy fish directly from verified suppliers — Atlantic herring, mackerel, sardine, mussels with confirmed quality.
- Gentle curing. We salt the fish at low temperatures for 24–72 hours — this preserves the natural texture and does not overdry the fillet.
- Dressing. We use refined sunflower oil, natural spices and marinades according to classic recipes. Without artificial flavorings and dyes.
- Quality control. Each batch undergoes laboratory inspection — organoleptic, microbiological, chemical indicators.
- Packaging. Glass jars and plastic containers with hermetic lids. Labeling with full composition and production date.
How to choose quality preserves: 5 rules
If you are just getting acquainted with the category, here is what to pay attention to when choosing:
- Transparency of the dressing. The oil or marinade should be clean, without flakes or sediment. Cloudiness is a sign of storage violation.
- Fish color. In fresh preserves, herring has a silver-gray color, mackerel — light gray with a bluish tint. Yellowish shades on the fillet are a sign of oxidation.
- Composition. Natural preserves contain fish, oil/marinade, salt, sugar, spices. If you see E-additives instead of natural components — the product is of lower quality.
- Production date. The fresher the batch, the more pronounced the flavor. Optimal — preserves produced no more than 30 days ago.
- Manufacturer. Choose brands with their own production and reputation — packing workshops without their own processing often use raw materials of dubious quality.
Why buyers choose Triton preserves
- 1 Own production since 1993. We control the entire product path — from fish purchase to packaging. This guarantees stable quality and a fair price.
- 2 Natural composition. Without artificial preservatives, dyes and flavorings. On the label — only fish, oil, salt and natural spices.
- 3 Dozens of recipes. From classic herring in oil to signature assortments with salmon, mussels and spicy marinade — you'll find something for any occasion.
- 4 Convenient packaging. Small 90–150 g jars for a single serving and large 250–500 g for a family table or holiday.
- 5 Fresh delivery. We work without «in-stock» warehouses — the website receives products from the latest production batch.
- 6 Delivery with cold. Every order with preserves is packed in a thermal envelope with ice packs — the product arrives fresh at any Nova Poshta branch.
How to store and serve preserves
Storage. Preserves require constant cold — temperature +2…+6 °C in the refrigerator. Avoid sharp temperature changes and direct sunlight. After opening the jar, we recommend consuming the product within 24–48 hours and keeping it in glassware under a tight lid.
Serving. Before serving, take the preserves out of the refrigerator and let them stand for 10–15 minutes at room temperature — the flavor opens up more fully. Classic pairings:
- Herring with boiled potatoes, scallion and black bread
- Herring fillet as a filling for canapes on Borodinsky bread with butter
- Mussels in oil — a standalone snack with dry white wine or as a salad ingredient
- Fish assortment on a plate with lemon, olives and fresh dill — a universal snack for a holiday
