Product Description
Horse mackerel is a medium-fat sea fish. In hot smoking it develops a delicate flaky texture. The large 500–900 g size — for a celebration or a family.
How to Serve and Pair
- The whole fish on a platter — guests slice it themselves
- Cut into 1.5–2 cm steaks on dark rye bread
- With jacket potatoes and marinated onion
- With light beer and cider
- On a fish platter, as an aromatic position
Storage
Store in the refrigerator at +2…+6 °C. Hot-smoked fish without vacuum — 5–7 days; vacuum-packed — up to 14 days. Can be vacuum-packed and frozen for up to 2 months without significant loss of flavour. The exact shelf life is shown on the packaging.
